Coordination Council for Doctoral Programs

    In June 2016 I was elected Director of the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering and Applied Informatics.

    In March 2018, as a result of administrative and organizational optimization and efficiency, the Doctoral Schools at the faculties level were reorganized as „Centers for the coordination of doctoral programs”. I was reconfirmed as Director of the Coordination Council for Doctoral Programs, as members of the Council being (re)elected Prof. Marcel Istrate, Prof. Adrian Plesca, Prof. Valeriu David and Prof. Codrin Donciu.

    The Doctoral School is an essential structure designed to support and to improve the research activities, being also very important for the financial sustainability of the Faculty.

    Of the total of 26 professors having the certification for PhD coordination, 18 effectively coordinate 74 doctoral students during the academic year 2017/2018.

    Of the 18 professors currently involved in the scientific coordination of doctoral theses, 15 are titular professors of our Faculty, a very important indicator for perspective and sustainability.
